This abstract design is based on the sea and the wind, which are ever-present features of north-east Scotland. The swirling textures represent the wind and waves while the 11 abstract flowers are a tribute to the giant turbines that sit, silently, off Aberdeen city’s coast, harnessing the ‘green gold’ (renewable energy) to power many homes, businesses and facilities across the city. Symbolically, the sea and the wind represent the raw strength of nature and the power of spirit in sustaining life and holding it together.
Based in Aberdeen, Ewen is a multimedia artist by trade but his passion for art and design keeps his eyes open to all things. He’s observant, genuine, and somewhat obsessive about his work.
