A growing body of research points to the beneficial and healing effects of exposure to the natural world. Artist Amy Singer wanted her design to depict a hare, wild and free, fully immersed in its natural habitat. The design captures the striking and contrasting colours of wildflowers and the insects and nature they attract on a beautiful summer’s day and evening. Amy hopes the sculpture will bring happiness, creativity and natural energy to those who visit it.

Amy Singer is an artist and illustrator based in Aberdeen, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art specialising in Printmaking. In 2010 Amy opened CloudyBlue, a gift and card shop in Rosemount which also provides the perfect studio to design and develop her artwork and growing card and print ranges. Amy’s work varies from illustrative cards and prints, to pet portraits, wedding venues, and modern calligraphy personalisation to bespoke unique and commercial commissions. Much of her art depicts the local north-east area and iconic landmarks and has been described as “little bubbles of serenity which celebrates the city we call home.”
