There’s something very special about growing up in the north-east of Scotland, never more than a few minutes from the coast, and having access to some of the most spectacular beaches is something artist Emily has never taken for granted. She hopes that Life is better by the sea resonates with people in lots of different ways, particularly those who are lucky to live close by who can appreciate that life by the sea is good for the soul.
Having worked for nearly ten years as a graphic designer, Emily has developed a whimsical style to her work in both digital and physical art mediums. Her style reflects her love of people, relationships and home, being influenced by the things and people closest to her. Graduating from Grays in 2010 she has always lived and worked in Aberdeen and recently, has been developing her digital work by incorporating more print and painterly techniques.
