We have been lucky enough to be sponsored by Technip in Westhill to be able to decorate one of the Moongazing Leverets for The Wee Hop, celebrating 40 years of Clan. We decided to include our P1 children in this project as it is something that would usually be enjoyed by older children and we wanted to show how creative the younger children can be. We began by asking all the children in P1 to P3 to submit a design and are including the best of each idea. Many of the designs have included our school families’ colours of red, green and yellow as well as our school values of Togetherness, Kindness, Respect and Responsibility. These values form the basis of our whole school ethos and are part and parcel of every day in Westhill Primary School. We wanted to include a link to nature and the outdoors, as we know the impact fresh air and exercise have on our wellbeing. Lastly, we wanted to acknowledge the work that Clan does in supporting families, particularly those with young children. We are delighted to present our contribution – Leslie, the Hopeful Leveret.
