Scotland is home to many fantastic locations where we can see the night sky to its fullest advantage, free of urban light pollution. From a city, we might see fewer than 100 stars with our naked eyes. Dark Skies Hare shows a snippet of the Cairngorms Dark Sky Park; there we can see thousands of stars, together with the amazing light show that is the Northern Lights.

Cairngorms Dark Sky Park is the darkest in the UK, but also the most northern in the world. Perhaps Dark Skies Hare will persuade you to visit, if you haven’t already.

Anne-Marie is a Suffolk based artist. She qualified as an archaeologist, then spent many years buried in an office before finally digging up her artistic roots when a public art trail came to Ipswich in 2016.

Since then, Anne-Marie has painted for many public art charity trails across the UK – including a lion disguised as a tiger, sun bears and flying hares, a prehistoric giraffe, a biker bee, an underwater gorilla, a superhero wallaby, a Monty Python Gumby cow and a veritable herd of sporting, magical, nautical and holiday-themed elephants.
